A Proud Mum Post :-)

I love that Erin (and the boys) like to get in the studio and create along with me.  It is often hard to keep Erin out of there!!  On the weekend Erin was lamenting she had not made Riley a Birthday Card yet so I encouraged her to create one for him.

I think she has been taking more notice of what I say and do than I thought because not only did she make a beautiful card for him - she made a matching envelope!

I love the back to front r - it's something she can't help, but it just makes it that much more hand-made and loveable :-)  The alternating colours are great  on the Twiddleybitz banner, the Twiddleybitz cars look awesome with the Flourish With A Bling pearls in the middle of the wheels, and the piece of ribbon she 'borrowed' from my (not so) hidden stash!

I am so proud of her - and Riley loved it to bits!!!!

Awesomely good news!!

I am super ecstatically proud to reveal I am now a member of the Flourish With A Bling Design Team!!
To say I am happy is an understatement.  I fell in love with these gorgeous products a few years ago when using them for make n takes at Paperific, was lucky enough to do a term as a "guest" DT member, and the rest (as they say) is history!!

I am often adding bling to my pages/projects and the single jewels and pearls are just gorgeous for that little bit here and there.  The flourishes though are so completely of the planet fantastic!  The Chloe Pearl Flourish range would have to be my favourite (at the moment LOL)!

Congratulations to the other members of the team - 19 fabulous artists from all over the world!  I look forward to working with these ladies and these wonderful products, Thank you so much to Maggie, Lucy, and Kate for this opportunity!!!

Just 4U

I made a card for Mother's Day, only this card is too pink and girly for my Mum!! It's so pretty and I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

Also I wanted to point out I only used fabulous adhesives from a relatively new company called Stix 2 Anything.  The PVA worked really well to adhere the paper rose to the Crochet by Kim flower and then that to the card over the fern leaves and bling.

And love this with the hint of green pearls from the FWAB Chloe flourish.

I decided to use a Z fold card for my base, using the lovely pale green shimmer cardstock from Twiddleybitz.  I then decided to make windows...

I played around with placement for a bit and how to make the layers work...
I leave 'handles' on my little letters now and I get less paint etc on my fingers!!

and if you start to pull it open...

This is the inside - I will write along the top of the "U" page as it's hidden by the leaves when on display :-)

This is just a shot of the 'backside' of the card - I have painted the back of the "4" with the same pearl paint now though :-)

Ingredients:
Cardstock - Green shimmer from Twiddleybitz

Twiddleybitz - Large Letters - 4 U
Twiddleybitz - Alphabet - J, u, s, t
Twiddleybitz - Fern leaves
Flourish With A Bling - Chloe Pearl - Olive Green
Crochet By Kim - 5Petal flower white
My2Angels - Large Pink Rose
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist - Forest
Adirondack paint dauber - pearl
Stampin' Up - Stamp n Write Marker - Pretty in Pink
